Pranayama breathwork is an ancient yogic practice focused on controlling and regulating the breath to influence the flow of prana, or life force energy in the body.

Through specific breathing techniques, we can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, allowing us to calm the mind, balance emotions, and improve physical and mental well-being.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

1. Intro:

I will begin by explaining the breathwork technique we will be using and setting intentions for the session.

You will either lie down or sit up on a mat (depending on the technique) with a banket and a pillow for comfort.

You will be provided with an eye mask, as this is an inward journey.

2. Guided Breath:

I will then gently guide you on specific breath patterns designed to shift the nervous system and encourage deeper connection to your body and emotions.

You might experience physical sensations such as tingling, warmth, or lightheadedness, which are normal and often a sign that your body is responding to the increased oxygen flow.

Emotionally, you may encounter a range of feelings. Some people feel a sense of calm or euphoria, while others might release stored emotions like sadness or anger. This is all part of the healing process.

3. Integration period:

After the active breathing portion, there will be a period of integration where you may feel deeply relaxed or experience a meditative state. This time allows your body and mind to absorb the benefits of the session.

During this meditative phase, I will use specific instruments, and you will hear and feel various frequencies and vibrations to further deepen the healing process.

The session will close with gentle guidance, helping you gradually return to a normal state of awareness, leaving you feeling centered and restored.

4. Post session:

Afterwards, there will be time set aside for reflection, where you can share your experience or simply take a moment to absorb any insights or emotions that arose.

Breathwork causes physiological changes in the body and requires medical screening prior to your session to ensure your safety and well-being.
